BSA Council

The BSA Council consists 16 elected trustees (8 of whom have been elected by the Council to 'officer' roles).  The 16 trustees are the Directors of The British Sociological Association Ltd ("the company") and the voting members of the company.  The Council comprise these 16 elected trustees plus the President plus a number of people who are co-opted onto the Council to ensure that constituent members of the Association are appropriately represented.
