Joining the Association

Membership of the British Sociological Association is open to anyone and everyone who has a general interest in the study of sociology. Members do not need to be elected, and may join the BSA directly.

We have approximately 2,000 members of which 600 are postgraduate students based within various UK institutions.

The annual membership period runs from January to December each year.
