Joining the Association

Membership of the British Sociological Association is open to anyone and everyone who has a general interest in the study of sociology. Members do not need to be elected, and may join the BSA directly.

We have approximately 2,293 members (as at 1 August 2007) of which 600 are postgraduate students based within various UK institutions.

Membership period runs from January to December each year.
