Payment Methods

To ensure joining the BSA is as hassle-free and straightforward as possible, we have endeavoured to offer a range of payments to suit all potential members. 

By direct debit: (preferred method of payment - find out why) Print the direct debit form complete the details, and sign and date it. Send it by post with your application form to: Membership Applications, British Sociological Assocation, FREEPOST NEA 599, Durham, DH1 1BR.

By credit/debit card: Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Maestro, American Express. Enter your card details ONLINE or on the Membership Application Form.

By cheque: Payable to 'British Sociological Association'. Cheques must be in £ sterling drawn on a UK bank.

By invoice: Enclose a copy of a purchase order form with your application form, or contact the BSA office.

Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your BSA membership, contact our Membership Team.  Cancellations must be received before 1 February each year, otherwise you will be charged for a full year's membership.

If you wish to cancel your membership to Study Groups or Speciality Groups, you should contact the convenor of the group.
