Ursula Edgington - After a disappointing school experience, Ursula spent many years in various mundane, low-paid, commercial sector jobs. At the age of 30, after moving to a new area of the UK, she embarked on a new educational journey.
After six years of part-time study (whilst working full-time), she achieved a BA (Hons) from the University of Warwick in Education & Sociology and later completed her teaching Diploma whilst teaching English part-time in an underprivileged inner-city community. In 2008 she achieved Distinction in the Masters in Lifelong Education from the University of Nottingham. After teaching health and social care students at Northampton College for two years, she was awarded a full-time PhD Studentship at Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) in 2010. Her research is focused on teaching and learning observations in Further Education and the impact of these on teachers' health and well-being. Her other research interests focus on multi-disciplinary approaches and creativity in research.
She joined the Co-convenor team in April 2011 after a hand-over period of a few months.
