Imagining the Future of Youth Studies

A BSA Youth Study Group Colloquium & Social

9 September 2022 (12-5pm)
Manchester Metropolitan University, UK

About the Event
Join us for our first in-person event since 2019!

The BSA Youth Study Group invites youth researchers and practitioners to come together to discuss the future of youth studies, and related disciplines. The event invites a range of speakers to contribute to discussions around the direction of youth studies at a time when the young people we work with are facing multiple intersecting crises. We also hope to offer a valuable opportunity to present work that attendees may be considering submitting to the BSA Annual Conference and/or the ISA conference in 2023 within a supportive and friendly environment.

The goal of this event is to craft connections and collaborations between people at all stages of their careers, and to have fun doing so. Each registered participant will have the opportunity to give a short presentation on their research (ranging from well-developed ideas to tentative work-in-progress ideas), to explore Themed Connections between your work and others, as well as participate in Future Directions discussion groups with other attendees.
