Belfast’s rich political, cultural and social history makes it an excellent place for sociologists and other scholars of work. WES 2018 will be held at the Europa Hotel, located in the centre of Belfast and famous for many years as the most bombed hotel in Europe. Additional social events will take place at Queen’s University Belfast, Belfast City Hall and the SS Nomadic.
The WES conference dinner will take place on Thursday, 13 September 2018 at Belfast City Hall. The conference dinner is £35 and £25 for concessionary delegates.
Optional Conference Dinner
There will be an optional conference dinner taking place on Friday, 14 September 2018 at the SS Nomadic for £42.50. Delegates can opt-in during the booking process.
The beautifully restored SS Nomadic, Titanic’s little sister’ and the last remaining White Star Line ship is an impressive location. Restored to her original glory and back home in Belfast’s historic Hamilton Dock.
