Aims and Objectives of the Study Group
- To provide a forum that enables the critical development of contemporary gender theory and research across a diverse range of gender related fields.
- To provide a professional network in which to bring together gender-related academics, researchers, postgraduate and doctoral students.
- To provide a context in which interdisciplinary (inter)national networking can take place in order to encourage (inter)national research collaborations.
- To provide an environment that seeks to safeguard gender theory and research in the face of the changing landscape to the social sciences and humanities.
The convenors aim to raise the profile of the Study Group through a series of day schools, workshops and by creating a gender stream at the BSA annual conference.
