About the Event
This webinar is aimed at early career researchers who have completed or are close to completing their PhDs and are considering postdoctoral research opportunities. It will focus on applying for Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship.
Fei will share her experience of searching for funding and selecting an institution and mentor, including her reflections on how she positioned herself and her research while moving from area studies to the field of social research, and how these considerations informed her choices. She will also discuss preparing a successful proposal that builds upon and extends beyond her PhD project, with the support of her mentor, Professor Katherine Twamley, and the UCL team. Katherine will offer insights from her experience of applying for and supporting research grants, highlighting key aspects of drafting and submitting strong proposals.
The session will also provide an opportunity to address any questions you may have about the application process and to discuss potential career pathways.
