About the Event
Please join us for the 2026 BSA Annual Members’ Meeting, which will take place online on Friday, 9 October.
What to expect
At this meeting we can reflect on our collective experiences this last year and share our achievements within and across the Association. It is also an opportunity to discuss Association plans for the future and connect as a community.
Chair of the Board, Jen Remnant, will give an update on the BSA’s activities over the past 12 months and the Board’s potential direction for the next few years.
As part of the meeting, we will take time to remember our colleague Jason Arday and to acknowledge the impact on our community, especially for our colleagues of colour and disabled and neurodiverse colleagues. Jen will outline the approach and decision-making in the BSA during the events of August 2026 and open a discussion on what we do next.
Why we’re online
The trustees have been considering how best to hold the Annual Members’ Meeting (AMM) —what form it should take, where, and when it is best held. For many years, we have been experimenting with different formats for the AMM at the Annual Conference and more recently in an online webinar to encourage more interaction and increase attendance.
This will be the second time we are trying a virtual AMM. The previous one was held in February 2025, with really positive attendance and engagement. This approach allows us to include a broader range of members from various locations, ensuring greater accessibility and participation while providing a focused platform to engage with the community outside the busy conference schedule.
